On the basis of a translation corpus of 1000 pages, functional equivalents of the English present perfect in Bulgarian are established and a preliminary analysis is made of one of them, the past indefinite tense, also called present perfect. The present perfect is strongly context-dependent in English as well as in Bulgarian.</style></abstract></record></records></xml>
