These words are assigned by etymologists to the basic Proto-Bulgarian word stock of modern Bulgarian. They belong to different lexico-semantic groups. Their areas form two zones, western and eastern, which correspond to the dialect distribution of the Bulgarian language. The special characteristics of the Proto-Bulgarian elements should, undoubtedly, be taken into consideration in tracing their etymology more accurately and convincingly.</style></abstract></record></records></xml>
