Intonation variants of short stories by {\v C}udomir in Bulgarian and in Russian are compared. The approach for the description of text intonation in intonation structures corresponds to the generalized analysis of intonation in the two texts presented in the article. Possibilities for the rendering of intonation and syntactic features of Bulgarian translations into Russian are argued for.</style>
</record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Махрова, Тамара</style></author></authors></contributors><titles><title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Сопоставление болгарской и русской интонации в условиях двуязычия</style></title><secondary-title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics</style></secondary-title></titles><dates><year><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">1988</style></year></dates><volume><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">13</style></volume><pages><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">37–42</style></pages><language><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">eng</style></language>
<style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">In a bilingual environment, appropriate intonation is of considerable importance in relation to style and usage. It is part of a larger contrastive study on intonation in Russian and Bulgarian, based on the results of intonographic analysis. The paper discusses some of the specific features of Russian and Bulgarian intonation as regards complete and incomplete syntagmas. The usage of certain types of intonation patterns has been studied along with some specific features of tune scheme realization in pre-kernel and other sentence parts.</style>
</record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Махрова, Тамара</style></author></authors></contributors><titles><title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Особености на руската и българската интонация в зависимост от смисловата структура на изречението</style></title><secondary-title><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Съпоставително езикознание / Сопоставительное языкознание / Contrastive linguistics</style></secondary-title></titles><dates><year><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">1982</style></year></dates><volume><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">7</style></volume><pages><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">9–15</style></pages><language><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">eng</style></language>
<style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">The functional sentence perspective of utterances excerpted from Russian and Bulgarian texts is compared in the paper with a view to find out to what extent the intonation of parallel Russian and Bulgarian sentences depends on their structural differences, and what are the reasons for the use of a number of typical intonation contours. The paper analyses the range of structural and semantic similarities and differences between simple declarative sentences in Bulgarian and Russian, as well as the respective characteristic functions of word order and intonation as means of marking off the theme and the rheme of the utterance.</style>
</record></records></xml>
