| Abstract | The article emphasizes the importance of Rumanian lexical data for the investigation of some Bulgarian dialect expressions. Some Rumanian lexemes preserving West Bulgarian vocalization of Old Bulgarian ú > о are considered. Examples are given in which Bulgarian e > Rumanian i and Bulgarian ъ > Rumanian {í in the process of borrowing. The phonetic relationships between Rumanian words and non-preserved Middle Bulgarian forms are described. |
