Лингвокултурният концепт джендър в съвременния български език

On the basis of concrete examples from Modern Bulgarian language the present expose seeks the manifestations of the category of gender on a linguistic level and investigates the response of the language to the changes that occur in the public views on gender as a socio-cultural construction. The study is based on methods elaborated by semantic and cognitive linguistic theories. The collation of the results of our linguistic analysis with the results from other investigations, for instance anthropological, historographic, and other research, gives one ground to suppose that the Bulgarians belong to a wider community of nations that have similar views of the world.
